A C19 th Italian hand carved walnut open armchair

This incredibly carved chair is a real feast for the eyes. Showing off all the master craftsmanship of this one maker.
The seat is upholstered with its original leather and studded.
The back rest of the chair displays ornate armorial with the lion mask in the centre of the shield sword behind and eagle heads either side with garlands hanging from their beaks .
Below that are the initials carved very intricately into a raised spherical medal with acanthus leaves above in a lovely freeze above.
The armrests are magical with what only looks like reclining eagles almost sunbathing ,at the top of the arm making its way down to a maidens head at the end on each side.
Following down the chair to the seat are swags of fabric carved in a lovely drape and then bellow , the base has dragon carved into the legs with scroll bases, 2 turned stretchers and a lion mask in the centre between the dragons.
