A large impressive French gilt wood carved console

A large impressive late nineteenth century, early C20 th French gilt wood carved console with impressive marble top ,a French marble called incarnat turquin . This same marble used for several fireplaces in Versailles.
The base is on 4 cabriole legs with decoratively carving all around the apron and legs
Of the console,of foliage, scrolls flowers and shells.
The centre of the apron hangs lower than the rest enabling a greater column and depth to the carving.
The legs are supported with a stretcher more modestly carved with an armorial to the centre.
The marble top is curvaceous with a simple but very effective mould and the console is a serpentine shape.
In good condition.
