A pair of impressive C19 th Italian giltwood consoles with marble tops

Large consoles supported on two Cabriole leg supports carved with scrolls and acanthus leaves at the top, knee and foot of each leg. The carving is bold and considered, not fussy, which suits the scale of consoles completely. A central carved detail of shell like foliage in the middle of the apron.
The legs are joined by a stretcher, carved in a foliage large bow of generous proportion.
The marble tops are green marble, possibly Patricia Green from the quarry Vallee d’Aoste, Italy.
