An Egyptomania bone and ebony inlay walnut Ibis stool

Reference No. : 0709

A very unusual stool early C20 th walnut with inlaid bone and ebony detail.
The stool is carved in the form of a crane. Standing with head and beak lowered in a lovely curved neck form .Decorated in a fashion used in both Indian and Africa design,to be very honest I couldn’t be certain which country of origin it was from.
The wings are partially out but not open but both wings belly neck and head are all decorated with the same inlay.
The belly and wings are carved defining feathers.
Upholstered in the original skin and a braid edge.
