An Eighteenth century Mallorcan(Spanish) commode in well figuredwalnut bookmatch veneered with marquetry inlay on all three sides.
The complicated structural design of this piece shows a master class of the highest carpentry. This is a very rare example.
With 4 wide drawers, the top being the smallest in height all with keyhole and keys.
The curve to the side panels are exquisite, seeing is believing.
Resting on ogee feet again with marquetry inlay.
The colour and patina rich with an exciting rare onyx top and original panelled back.
