An exceptional C19th gilt bronze lamp

The statue of the battle of a fish being overwhelmed by a lobster who's tentacles are wrapping themselves around the body of the fish.
The swishing of the tail, the raising of the fish fins creates great movement showing the explosive struggle. A wonderful statue that is then highlighted beautifully in the light of the lamp.
Mounted on a green moulded marble base and set on 3 spherical bronze feet.
There is a signature and writing in the cast around the base. Sadly I don't know it’s meaning.
