A good pair of C18 th painted and gilt open armchairs. Very decorative curving shapes are repeated throughout the design. The back rest ,upholstered with original paint and gilding,with a suggested petal curved edge. The armrests have an acanthus like scroll carved design on its elbow ,the side edge ,and along apron and legs of the chair. Both front and back legs a cabriole shaped with scroll feet. Beautifully proportioned chairs , creating a very comfortable and decorative pair of chairs. Price for the pair
