Anexceptional fine early Regency English breakfront library bookcase by Gillows,circa 1820-1825, constructed in the finest figured mahogany.Of unusual shallow proportions With blind- panelled cupboard doors flanking the original gilt brass grille doors to the centre. The bookcase is enriched with cluster columns,having turned shafts and finely carved fluted capitals,and displays the restrained,low- waisted proportions and characteristic carved mouldings associated with Gillows. Slotted shelving in all cupboards. Patina ,colour and quality exceptional in excellent condition
